About the Mudcrabs
Established in 1980 (originally “The Cold Tooths”), the Mudcrabs are a friendly, family-focused winter swimming club based at the iconic Forster Ocean Pool.
We welcome swimmers of all ages and abilities. Whether you are competitive, social, or just curious, you’ll find a relaxed and supportive group.
Many members have been with the club for decades — a reflection of the strong camaraderie and friendships built both in and out of the water.
First time swimmer?
Just turn up a little early on a Sunday morning and introduce yourself. There’s no pressure — we’ll explain how things work and get you involved at your own pace.
Bring swimmers, a towel, and something warm for afterwards.

We swim at the iconic Forster Ocean Baths — one of the best ocean pools on the NSW coast.
